at the crossroads between waking and dream

"I love maps. I love how they can make the unseen (and the unreal) stark, glorious reality. Maps have power, they contain worlds, and everything in them. Maps don’t dilute landscapes: they expand upon them. Far from removing mystery, maps are the very source of mystery."  - Ragnar Tornquist (x)

Because just stroking a cannon is apparently no longer enough for Mr Bruusgaard.
Also, note the facial expression of the man in the background!

Allow me to shed some light to this…

Our offices are really close to the castle, and every morning we meet at the castle square. We usually approach from different directions around 6:30. When everybody’s there, we all start walking faster and faster towards each other. The walk turn in to a jog, the jog turns into a run, and the run turns into a sprint. When we’re closing in on each other, we all leap and do a 6-way-air-high-five, while our King applauds us for our vigor and virility. Then we all hold hands and walk back to the office, while we feed the poor.

When we get to the office Dag and Ragnar starts writing. We have glued a laptop to the wall, and they each have 10 darts. They throw them randomly at letters, and what comes out is pure gold. The programmers put on their padded face masks and start hammering their keyboard with their faces. I have not seen them miss a single semi colon. Ever. The designers get in their rickshaws and start their daily routine around town. They ask every toddler they come across to give them one word, and at the end of the day they put the words together.

An unprocessed design document looks something like this: Birdie. Pacifier. Sleepy. Lady. Weirdo. Talk. Go.
A finished design document looks something like this: Pacifier makes sleepy lady go talk to weirdo birdie.

I know. We’re brilliant…

Kickstarted video blooper reel in which we learn among other things that Dag has a really foul mouth.
